Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra had moved the Delhi High Court for a stay on the eviction proceedings but her plea was dismissed on Thursday.
A team of officials of the Directorate of Estates under the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Friday morning began an eviction drive at former Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra’s official residence, after the Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed her plea for a stay on eviction proceedings.
According to two ministry sources, the eviction drive was initiated at 9B, Telegraph Lane, the house that had been allotted to Moitra while she was a Lok Sabha MP.
