Nagendra Reddy hailed from a humble background. When he graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, he seemed to be on the path to success. He got a job in Hyderabad, moved to Bengaluru where he started a firm, and then moved to the United Kingdom. It was an all-too-familiar techie success story – until it wasn’t. The next seven years saw Reddy turn from an accomplished employee to a cold-blooded criminal wanted by the police in the UK, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, till he was gunned down by the Bengaluru police in 2011.
