High-Torment farming in Season 14 is less about repeating one famous encounter and more about keeping your whole loop moving. A stash of Diablo 4 Items helps, sure, but keys, fragments, and the next Hoard matter just as much.

Why the new boss loop feels different

Lair Bosses no longer ask for a key at the door. You fight first, then spend the right key on the Hoard. That small change means every key has a job. Regular keys cover focused Unique hunting, while Superior Lair Keys are where the serious endgame choices start.

Unique upgrades also changed the mood. Four Pandemonium Fragments can turn a build-defining Unique into its Mythic version, so duplicate drops aren't dead weight anymore. Still, don't rush it. A strong item only matters if it fits the skills you actually press.

    What most players are doing

The Meta: Players stack Superior Lair Keys for Corrupted Reaper runs.

The Snag: One missing Unique can leave the build feeling awful.

The Fix: Farm dedicated bosses first then return to Reaper.

Reality check: A flashy Mythic won't rescue a character with weak defences, poor resource flow, and unfinished gear slots.

Where each premium key really goes

Belial is the practical pick when your build still needs something exact. His Hoard gives an Ancestral Unique and lets you choose another boss pool. Reaper is the better long-session choice once your gear works and fragments are the main thing on your mind.

Boss Key used Best reason to run it
Lord Zir Lair Key Focused armour and weapon hunting
Belial Superior Lair Key Selectable boss pool and Ancestral Unique
Corrupted Reaper Superior Lair Key Mythic progress and Pandemonium Fragments

Deathtoll Chambers are the bit many players skip, then regret later. At high Torment, they reliably feed your Superior Lair Key supply. Run seasonal Ruptures, clear the chamber, check reputation rewards, then decide whether your next key serves Belial flexibility or Reaper progression.

The question that comes up every night

A lot of players ask whether Reaper is worth running before their main Unique drops.

Usually no. Get the core item first, unless your current setup already clears Torment comfortably.

Make the route fit your character

Start with the boss holding your needed Unique. Move through Ruptures and Deathtoll Chambers for key income. Then spend premium runs on Reaper when Mythic upgrades become realistic. Belial stays useful when you need a controlled shot at a missing slot, but Reaper pays you back across several runs. That wider value is why players looking for cheap D4 items should also think about materials and keys, not just the next drop.
